the importance of...?

i just gotta get this outta my chest.

the importance of being earnest. sounds familiar? yeah it does. tapi i dunno where that phrase came. but i would like to tuka sikit this phrase. the importance of amanah. yes. amanah.

amanah is a responsibility. tanggungjawab that will be questioned in akhirat. not only the leaders will have to be questioned about their contributions during their leadership period, but also the people that chose them. why you voted for this person? is it for the benefit of the society? the benefit of the person chosen? or the benefit of the special group of people that this particular person represents? wallahualam

from my past year as ucd isoc vice president, i snapped back into the reality. being a so called prominent person in the society, we realized that we have a serious amanah (i stress again: responsibility) to do dakwah on campus. espcially kat ucd yg mmg a place to have fun lah masa study. dats why they burden us with loads of exams. i wonder how many really realise about this fact? did these people really know whats the function of the islamic society? did they chose their leaders based on this simple-but-hard-to-execute amanah? again wallahualam

i'm not being judgemental. i'm being observant. Only Allah is the Judge. Both dunia and akhirat. I only urge everyone to do everything in life just so gain His pleasure. aka NIAT. niat beribadah. niat menjalankan program. niat belajar. niat of being a leader. power is a tool that is both beneficial and also abusing oneself

with great power comes great responsibility

tenyku uncle ben! i think i won't say no more. i pray to Allah that the new committee will continue what the previous committee has done.if not, take it to the next level!. i don't like it when people say: oh ok, lets see how isoc turns up next year. i've done a lot and its too depressing to think that what has been established going down the drain just like that. but then again congratulations! a chance to make a difference to the MUSLIM (which is not just malaysians ok!)students in ucd. may Allah guide us in the right path. ameen~
